Scott Vernon Algiers, age 62, of New London, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, March 10, 2018.
Scott was born to Jack and Arleen (Prochnow) Algiers on July 27, 1955 in New London. Scott was united in marriage to Carol Berzill on December 7, 1993 in Las Vegas. He worked at Curwood for 43 years, retiring in 2016. Scott was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Brewers and Packers. He was an artist and enjoyed listening to Rock-n-Roll music.
Scott is survived by his wife, Carol; father, Jack Algiers, King; children, Amy (Tyson) Ciepluch, Milwaukee; Andrea (Hiro) Shibata, Seattle, WA and Eric Algiers, Seattle, WA; stepchildren, Michelle (Dan) Freeman, New London; Aimee (Henry) Dunbar, New London; Greg (Leah) Stelse, New London and Tony Stelse (special friend Anna), New London; grandchildren, Mabel, Frankie and Mirai; numerous step-grandchildren and twin sister, Cindy (Ron) Baehman, Oshkosh. Scott is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Arleen and a sister, Becky.
A memorial service for Scott will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London. Rev. Greg Watling will be officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place form 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home Thursday.
