Man charged with battery to officer

Cops find pot during traffic stop

Timothy S. Suhs, 34, Waupaca, is charged with battery to an officer, resisting an officer, possession of marijuana and misdemeanor bail jumping.

On Feb. 26, Weyauwega police officers Heather Dahm and Justin Malueg pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation.

While speaking with the driver, identified as Suhs, Malueg noticed signs of intoxication and the aroma of marijuana.

According to the criminal complaint, Suhs admitted to drinking and smoking pot.

Police reported finding pot in his possession.

When the officers arrested Suhs, he allegedly refused to give a blood sample.

The officers obtained a search warrant, but when an attempt was made to draw his blood, Suhs resisted and kicked Dahm in the knee several times, the complaint says.

At the time of his arrest, Suhs was free on a $1,000 signature bond after being charged on July 12, 2016, with a second offense of operating while under the influence.

Suhs is currently in custody on a $3,000 cash bond.
