Criminal sentencing

Recent convictions, sentencing and dismissals from felony cases in Waupaca County Circuit Court.

• Judge Vicki Clussman sentenced Denise M. Guantes, 51, Waupaca, to four years in state prison and four years of extended supervision.

Guantes was convicted of delivery of heroin, delivery of narcotics and drug trafficking. Charges of delivery of heroin, delivery of amphetamines, possession of counterfeit narcotics with intent to deliver and possession of illegally obtained prescription drugs were dismissed but read into the court record for sentencing purposes.

Clussman also assessed Guantes $2,254 in court costs and gave her 189 days credit on her sentence for the time she spent in jail on a $7,500 cash bond.

• Judge Raymond Huber sentenced Joshua R. Christensen, 26, Scandinavia, to four years in state prison and four years of extended supervision.

Christensen was convicted of possession of heroin with intent to deliver, possession of narcotics and felony bail jumping.

Charges of misdemeanor bail jumping and felony possession of marijuana were dismissed but read into the record.

Huber also assessed Christensen $1,554 in court costs.

• Huber sentenced Steven L. Scribner, 48, Iola, to 2 1/2 years in prison and 2 1/2 years of extended supervision.

In three separate criminal cases, Scribner was convicted of two counts of possession of narcotics, possession of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine and felony bail jumping.

Charges of felony possession of marijuana and receiving stolen property were dismissed but read into the record.

Scribner was assessed $2,515 in court costs.

• Judge Troy Nielsen acquitted Kenneth J. Skodowski, 29, Waupaca, of a charge of felon in possession of a firearm.

Nielsen granted Skodowski’s motion to suppress evidence related to police finding his wife’s handgun during a parole search of their home.

• Clussman sentenced Amie L. Sanderfoot, 37, Taycheedah Correctional Institution, to 18 months in state prison and two years of extended supervision.

In two separate criminal cases, Sanderfoot was convicted identity fraud, possession of methamphetmine, nonpayment to an innkeeper and obstructing an officer. A burglary charge was dismissed but read into the record.

Clussman also ordered Sanderfoot to pay $2,628 in restitution and court costs.

Sanderfoot is currently serving three years in prison for burglary and car theft convictions in Menominee County and three years in prison for multiple counts of forgery uttering, felony theft and felony bail jumping in Shawano County.

All prison terms will be served concurrently.

• Clussman placed Julia A. Slattery, 20, Waupaca, on four years probation and into the Waupaca County Drug Treatment Court program.

In three separate criminal cases, Slattery was convicted of possession of narcotics, felony theft and felony bail jumping.

Four counts of misdemeanor theft were dismissed but read into the record.

• Clussman placed Rose H. Kirmsee, 37, Waupaca, on two years of probation and ordered her to participate in any counseling and submit to any treatment deemed appropriate by her probation agent.

Kirmsee was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor bail jumping and disorderly conduct. A charge of possession of narcotics was dismissed but read into the record.

Clussman also assessed Kirmsee $2,234 in court costs.

• Nielsen placed Jamal A. Pointer, 22, Waupaca, on two years of probation and stayed 120 days in jail to be used at his probation agent’s discretion.

Pointer was convicted of disorderly conduct and misdemeanor battery, amended from an original charge of substantial battery.

Nielsen also ordered Pointer to participate in any counseling and treatment deemed appropriate by his agent and assessed him $886 in court costs.

• Clussman imposed and stayed three years in prison and placed Jessica M. Stuebs, 34, Waupaca, on five years of probation.

In three separate criminal cases, Stuebs was convicted of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of cocaine and felony bail jumping.

Charges of possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana, possession of illegally obtained prescription drugs, felony theft, misdemeanor theft, felony and misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed but read into the record.

As conditions of probation, Clussman also ordered Stuebs to maintain absolute sobriety, not possess or consume any illegal drugs, participate in any counseling and treatment deemed appropriate by her agent and pay $1,997 in court costs.

• Huber placed Samantha S. Utecht, 22, Scandinavia, on three years of probation and into the drug treatment court program.

In three separate criminal cases, Utecht was convicted of possession of methamphetamine, felony bail jumping, misdemeanor theft and obstructing an officer.

Charges of burglary and theft were dismissed but read into the record.

Huber also ordered her to pay $2,937 in restitution and court costs.

• Clussman placed Jonathan D. Neuroth, 28, Waupaca, on two years of probation and stayed 90 days in jail to be used at his agent’s discretion.

Nueroth was convicted of burglary and felony bail jumping.

Charges of delivery of amphetamine and felony bail jumping were dismissed but read into the record.

Clussman ordered Neuroth to pay $1,046 in court costs and participate in any counseling and treatment deemed appropriate by his agent.

• Huber placed Korey J. Thoma, 31, Iola, on five years of probation and into drug treatment court.

Thoma was convicted of delivery of heroin. A charge of falsely presenting an uncontrolled substance was dismissed and read into the record.

Huber also stayed 120 days in jail to be used by Thoma’s agent upon application to the court and assessed him $1,088 in court costs.

• Clussman imposed and stayed 18 months in prison and placed Sonnie Jo Meier, 26, Waupaca, on three years of probation and into drug treatment court.

Meier was convicted of possession of heroin, delivery of cocaine and burglary.

Charges of credit card theft, illegal possession of a prescription drug, delivery of amphetamines and misdemeanor theft were dismissed but read into the record.

Clussman also assessed Meier $2,539 in court costs and court costs.

• Clussman placed Kari J. Wilson, 40, Ellsworth Correctional Institution, on three years of probation.

Wilson was convicted of felony theft.

Clussman also ordered Wilson to obtain counseling, maintain full-time employment and not leave that employment without her agent’s approval, and pay $528 in court costs. Restitution has yet to be determined.

Wilson is currently serving three years in prison for a conviction of armed robbery, burglary while armed, possession of methamphetamine and drug trafficking in Shawano County.

• Nielsen imposed and stayed 30 days in jail and placed Andrea D. Mackowiak, 46, Clintonville, on one year of probation.

Mackowiak was convicted of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor theft.

Nielsen also ordered her to pay $896 in court costs.

• Nielsen sentenced Sammual R. Buhrow, 30, Oshkosh, to five days in jail and assessed him $961 in court costs.

Buhrow was convicted of felony possession of marijuana and operating a vehicle after his license was revoked.

Charges of obstructing an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed but read into the record.

• Clussman sentenced Dawn J. Bowden, 42, Appleton, to nine months in jail.

Bowden was convicted of a fifth drunken driving offense.

Clussman also ordered Bowden to pay $3,733 in fines and court costs, install an ignition interlock device for 24 months, participate in alcohol and drugs assessment and participate in a driver safety plan. Bowden’s license was revoked for 24 months.

• Huber placed Cody D. Schultz, 34, Waupaca, on three years probation.

Schultz was convicted of forgery uttering and possession of narcotics. Four counts of forgery uttering and one count of misdemeanor theft were dismissed but read into the record.

As conditions of probation, Huber ordered Schultz to spend 30 days in jail with 11 days credit, not possess illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia, participate in counseling and pay $5,128 in restitution and court costs.

• Clussman sentenced Gregory J. Altman, 52, Waupaca, to 60 days in jail and ordered him to pay $453 in court costs.

Altman was convicted of misdemeanor theft, amended from the original charges of burglary and theft.

• Clussman imposed and stayed 14 months in prison and placed Michael A. Kallas, 21, New London, on two years of probation and into drug treatment court.

Kallas was convicted of possession of narcotics.

As conditions of his probation, Kallas must maintain absolute sobriety and comply with the electronic monitoring program.

• Nielsen imposed and stayed six months in jail and placed Nathaniel A. Hintz, 27, Shawano, on one year of probation.

Hintz was convicted of possession of cocaine.

As conditions of his probation, Hintz was ordered to pay $196 in court costs and $443 in attorney’s fees to be collected by the clerk of courts.

• Clussman placed Michael T. Graske, 34, Waupaca, on four years of probation and into drug treatment court.

Graske was convicted of a fifth drunken driving offense. A charge of possession of narcotics was dismissed but read into the record.

As conditions of probation, Clussman ordered Graske to spend one year in jail, pay $1,811 in fines and court costs and revoked his license for two years.

• Nielsen placed Shawn G. Fink, 30, Dodge Correctional Institution, on two years of probation.

Fink was convicted of possession of methamphetamine.

He is currently in prison because Fond du Lac County Circuit Court revoked his probation on charges of delivery of narcotics, receiving stolen property, burglary and theft. He is scheduled for release on Oct. 21.

• Nielsen sentenced Justine N. Radaj, 34, Waupaca, to five months in jail and assessed her to pay $443.

Radaj was convicted of obstructing an officer. Charges of encouraging probation violations and aiding a felon were dismissed but read into the record.

Nielsen gave Radaj 48 days credit on her sentence for her time in jail on a $500 cash bond.
