Waupaca County sheriff’s report May 21

• May 20 – Manawa caller said her boyfriend dumped gas on her and began striking matches. She said he also put her in a headlock, pushed her and kicked her.

• May 20 – Caller from the N5000 block of Pine Crest, Manawa, reported receiving a text massage from “Nicki,” who said she lived on the caller’s street and wanted to have sex. Dispatch advised the caller to delete the text and not respond.

• May 20 – Caller from the N2200 block of Country Lane, Waupaca, reported someone drove a pickup truck through their yard, hit a pine tree and some bushes, and left behind a fender and other vehicle parts.

• May 20 – Caller from the N7400 block of U.S. Highway 45, New London, reported someone left their clothes in the washer for more than an hour, and she did not know how to reach them.

• May 20 – Caller from the 300 block of South Washington St., Waupaca, reported speeding vehicles.

• May 20 – Caller reported his car had been stolen while it was parked at a friend’s house on Wisconsin Street, Waupaca.

• May 20 – Fleet Farm, Waupaca, reported detaining a woman for shoplifting.

• May 20 – Indian Crossing Casino, Waupaca, reported an intoxicated woman.

• May 20 – An anonymous caller reported seeing a woman who appeared to be in her 40s at Pick ‘n Save in Waupaca, holding up a sign asking for money.

• May 20 – Caller from N10900 block of Lakeshore Road, Clintonville, reported their neighbor’s vicious dog was on their property.

• May 20 – Caller from the E1700 block of Amy Street, Waupaca, reported her intoxicated boyfriend left her house with her 2-year-old daughter in the truck with him.

• May 19 – New London Travel Plaza, North Shawano Street, New London, reported finding syringes in the bathroom.

• May 19 – Caller from the E1300 block of Rural Road, Dayton, reported that whle she was taking a walk shortly before 7:30 p.m. a large red pickup truck drove past her three times, then stopped and the driver asked her if she wanted a ride. She described the experience as “really creepy.”

May 19 – Pick ‘n Save reported shoplifting.

• May 19 – Crossroads Care Center, Churchill Street, Waupaca, reported someone hit their mailboxes.

• May 19 – East Side Mobil, Royalton Street, Waupaca, reported that a truck hit the side of a shed. The driver suffered from a medical condition.

• May 19 – Caller from the N9200 block of Moen Road, Iola, reported two people were having intercourse in a vehicle.

• May 19 – The Lumberjack Lounge at the Fremont Hotel in Fremont requested an officer give a ride to an intoxicated woman who had become confrontational.

• May 19 – A Clintonville caller said her boyfriend had threatened to kill her. She said she and her children were in the bedroom, while her boyfriend was in the kitchen.

• May 18 – Caller from N100 block of Klemp Road, Clintonville, reported her neighbors pulled out her barbed wire fence.

• May 18 – Counselor at Wisconsin Veterans Home at King reported the possible theft of $166 from a deceased resident.

• May 18 – Caller from the 900 block of Berlin Street, Waupaca, reported the theft of an American flag.

• May 18 – Jack’s corner Bar, East Main Street, Weyauwega, reported they had security footage of a man stealing a case of iced tea.

• May 18 – ThedaCare-New London reported a 41-year-old woman had been bitten by her own dog.

• May 18 – Caller reported nearly one-half tank of gas was siphoned from his car while it was parked in the lot across from the Waupaca police station. He also reported seeing teens smoking meth in a nearby parked car earlier that day.

• May 17 – The Goodwill Thrift Store, West Fulton Street, Waupaca, reported a man went into the dressing room, swapped his old pants for a pair from the store, then left behind his wallet and ID in his old pants.

• May 17 – A Weyauwega man entered the lobby of the Waupaca County Law Enforcement Center to report his ex-girlfriend stole his rabbit.

• May 17 – Caller from E5700 block of Bear Lake Road, Weyauwega, reported receiving a letter informing her someone attempted to file an unemployment claim using her name.

• May 17 – Fremont caller reported that while his Latina girlfriend was shopping at Fleet Farm, another customer told her, ‘Why don’t you go back to where you came from, you bunch of filthy rats.”

• May 17 – A Marion man reported his 17-year-old son ran away. He had been in contact with his son via Facebook messaging, but the boy won’t say where he is, won’t come home and won’t go to school.

• May 17 – Caller from the 500 block of Smith Street, Waupaca, reported seeing someone walking around a vacant home with a flashlight, then enter the house.

• May 17 – Taco Bell, Fulton Street, Waupaca, reported a man in the drive-thru spoke to an employee in a sexually vulgar manner and seemed intoxicated.

• May 17 – An anonymous caller told dispatch he “knew a lot of stuff that was going on in New London” and implied the stuff involved drug use. He sounded very intoxicated and ended the call before providing any further information.

• May 16 – Waupaca Mobil Travel Center, West Fulton Street, Waupaca, reported a driver was asleep at the pumps and an employee removed the keys from the ignition.

• May 15 – Weyauwega Police Chief Gerald Poltrock reported that Canadian National blocked the city’s railroad crossings for 1 1/2 hours.

• May 15 – Caller from the N10700 block of Lakeshore Road, Clintonville, reported someone attempted to file an unemployment claim using her identity.

• May 15 – A 60-year-old Fremont man hanged himself.

• May 15 – Spencer Lake Bible Camp, County Trunk E, Waupaca, reported a woman in her 30s was screaming, biting, kicking and banging her head against the wall.
