Fire in Lind

Fire destroyed the home at N1884 Shadow Road in the town of Lind.

When Waupaca firefighters arrived at the residence of Theodore Dreger at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, they found the bi-level home fully engulfed in flames.

All the occupants had evacuated the house and no injuries were reported.

While one crew worked to control the fire in an attached garage, a second crew suppressed flames in the house and a third crew vented the roof to relieve the heat and fire.

Weyauwega firefighters arrived at the scene at 6:30 p.m. to provide additional manpower, while Scandinavia sent a rapid intervention team. Firefighters responded from Saxeville and Manawa.

Heavily damaged and charred, the fire burned through the roof in areas and the garage collapsed.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined.

The home was for listed for sale for $157,900.
