Program trains future leaders

Participants learn how government, economy work

Leadership Waupaca County is currently accepting applications for its next class.

Organized by the Waupaca County UW-Extension office, the program offers one class per month, September through May.

Through a series of workshops, seminars, tours and discussions, participants will strengthen their leadership skills, increase their knowledge about how businesses and governments operate.

They will also become part of a large network of other community leaders and investigate emerging issues facing Waupaca County.

The program is designed to help people become informed, civic-minded leaders who are committed to the future of Waupaca County and its communities.

They will become better communicators, understand themselves and others better, increase their ability to resolve conflicts, and learn how to prioritize and develop strategies for solving problems.

More information and an online application are available at https://fyi.uwex.edu/leadershipwaupacaco/.

Applications are due July 31.
