Niemuth, Eugene Luther August

On Saturday, July 21, 2018, Eugene Luther August Niemuth, went to be with his Lord and Savior.

As it is written in John 14:3, The Lord said in my Father’s house are many rooms and I have gone to prepare a place for you. When I return I will take you with me”. Eugene was born on June 17, 1921 in the Town of Dale, the son of the late Louie and Rose (Lederer) Niemuth. On June 2, 1951, Eugene married Laverne Dietz in Medina. Eugene farmed in Readfield his entire life, and even after retiring he always made time to help others. He was a God fearing man. Loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved to celebrate his birthdays, always looking forward to those parties, and sharing stories of his childhood years and farming life.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 67 years, Laverne; their children, Connie (Steven) Wilz, New London; Corinne (David) Krause, Dale; Mark (Kari) Niemuth, New London; and Lisa Ann (Joel) Rank, Fremont; four grandchildren, Steven (Michelle) Wilz, Thomas (Carrie) Krause, Ryan and Amy Niemuth; six great-grandchildren, Austyn Wilz, Ethan, Evan, Ayden, Owen and Olivia Krause; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Stangfield and Deloris Jacquot; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert (Dorothy) Niemuth and Wilbur (Lydia) Niemuth; a sister, Shirley (Gerald) Schroenrock; two brothers-in-law, Gilbert Stangfield and Earl Jacquot; two grandchildren, Eric Wilz and Julia Woehler; and a great-grandson, Jonathan Procknow.

Per family wishes, private family services will be held. The Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Eugene’s family would like to extend a special Thank You to the hospice team of nurses and CNA’s from ThedaCare at Home that took care of dad…you are special angels!
