Irma M. Hernandez, New London, age 59, died unexpectedly at her residence of natural causes on Thursday, August 2, 2018.
She was born on December 9, 1958 in Crystal City, TX, daughter of Rafael and Micaela Martinez. Irma graduated from Shiocton High School and later in life from the college of Menomonie Nation obtaining her LPN licenses. She loved to travel across the country, camping, sight seeing, crocheting and drinking tequila.
Irma is survived by her children: Teresa (Antonio) Bautista, Jose (Michelle) Hernandez, Diana (Weston) Thorpe, Alicia Hernandez; grandchildren: Stefani Bautista, Taylor Popke, Brandon Prause, Jordan Prause, Thalia Thorpe and Roman Thorpe; her father, Rafael Martinez Sr.; Irma’s significant other, Mauro Ramos; siblings: Braulio Sepulveda, Guadalupe Galvez, David Galvez, Jesse Galvez, Norma Valdez, Rafael Jr. (Ruth) Martinez, Ismael (Isabel) Martinez and Mario Martinez. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Micaela Martinez and brother Lee Galvez.
In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established. Funeral services for Irma will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London.
