Police find meth after crash

Driver had prior OWI

Brandy N. Krueger, 33, Grand Chute, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a second OWI and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Tuesday, July 31, Waupaca Police officer Wesley Zube responded to a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of School and Van streets.

When he arrived, Zube found the vehicle in a yard.

According to the criminal complaint, the driver, identified as Krueger, said she swerved to miss an oncoming vehicle.

Witnesses denied seeing another vehicle.

Zube reported that Krueger was unable to keep her eyes open long enough for him to conduct a horizontal gaze nystagmus, which is a field sobriety test that police use to measure involuntary eye twitches.

During a search of the vehicle, Zube reported finding 38 gem bags, a notebook that recorded suspected drug transactions, a digital scale and cotton balls.

A package of unused syringes were in the glove box. A syringe filled with brown liquid that tested positive for meth was also found, the complaint says.

Krueger was released after posting a $250 cash bond.
