Shirley Ann Johnson, age 88, of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, formerly of Waupaca, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Veterans Home.
Shirley was born in Iola on December 9, 1929, the daughter of the late Alton L. and Cecile (Martin) Wasrud. On April 2, 1949, Shirley married Myron K. Johnson Sr. in Fremont, WI and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1993.
Shirley is survived by her children, Mike Johnson Jr, Stevens Point and Lynn (Richard) Tolle, Waupaca; her grandchildren: Lori Blank, Eric (Renee) Anunson, Stephanie Johnson and Jessica Anunson; her great-grandchildren: Ashley, Damian and Travis Blank; Doshare and Hannah Heifort and Preston Anunson and a great-great-granddaughter, Novalynn Anunson. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Myron Johnson Sr.
The Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, August 22 at 11 a.m. at the Wisconsin Veterans Home-Main Chapel with Chaplain Wayne Schwanke, officiating. Burial will follow in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the Main Chapel. Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
