Trinity to host chamber concert

The Vivace Chamber Players will present a Mostly Mendelssohn Festival at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Trinity Lutheran Church.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Donations will be accepted.

The concert will include Felix Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 49, as well as works by J.S. Bach, Antonín Dvorak, Louis Moreau Gottschalk and Dmitri Shostakovich.

It will feature Marisa Landsverk on piano, Stephan Wucherer on cello and Emily Sipiorski on violin.

Landsverk is a Waupaca native and Waupaca High School graduate.

She graduated from Carthage College with a degree is piano and is currently studying for her master’s degree in accompaniment at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Landsverk enjoys collaborating with other musicians.

Sipiorski is a Stevens Point native.

She studied violin at the Suzuki Center and music performance as an undergrad at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She then did graduate work in performance and pedagogy at UW-Milwaukee.

Sipiorski lives in Waupaca and teaches private violin lessons.

Wucherer graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a degree in cello performance and then attended Butler University for his Master of Music degree.

He is the director of orchestras at the Lineville Intermediate school in the Howard-Suamico School District.

Wucherer has performed with a number of orchestras in Wisconsin.

Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 306 E. Badger St., in Waupaca.
