Police find cocaine, heroin, ecstasy

Four people face drug-related charges after police executed a search warrant at a New London home.

One of the suspects was released from prison earlier this summer after serving four years for dealing heroin.

Ashley J. Guyette, 37, New London, is now charged with possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of narcotics with intent to deliver and possession of amphetamine.

Also charged were Kenneth C. Guyette, 34, and Linda L. Guyette, 58, both of New London, and Tommy Lee Simpson, 30, Milwaukee.

Simpson was charged with identity theft, delivery of cocaine, delivery of heroin and delivery of designer drugs.

Kenneth Guyette was charged with possession of narcotics, three counts of possession of amphetamines and illegal possession of a prescription drug.

Linda Guyette was charged with maintaining a drug house.

On Aug. 17, 2016, a parole agent conducted a search of Ashley Guyette’s bedroom for evidence of drug use.

According to the criminal complaint, the agent found a suspected crack pipe pill bottle containing a cellophane-wrapped brown, granular substance that Ashley said was ecstasy.

New London police then obtained a search warrant for the entire property on the 300 block of Lima Street.

Two children, ages 5 and 6, a man who identified himself as “Sean” Simpson, and Ken and Linda Guyette were present in the home at the time of the search.

Officers reported finding suboxone, amphetamine and benzodiazepine in the house and in Ken Guyette’s car.

When questioned by police, Ashley admitted to holding crack cocaine and heroin in a body cavity.

Ashley said “Sean” would bring two or three bags of crack two to three times a week from Milwaukee to New London.

“You can’t get good crack up here because it’s so cut,” Ashley reportedly told police. She also reportedly said she was selling some of the crack to her brother.

While questioning Ashley, investigators realized the man who had been at the Lima Street house did not match the description of Sean Simpson.

They reviewed Department of Corrections photos and learned the man’s actual name was Tommy Simpson, who is a registered sex offender and served three years in prison for delivery of cocaine and battery to an officer.

“When officers returned to talk to Sean/Tommy they were told Linda Guyette had given him a ride to Milwaukee,” the complaint says.

He faces up to 12 1/2 years in prison on each of the drug-dealing charges if convicted.

Ashley is currently incarcerated at the Milwaukee Women’s Correctional Center .

On Dec. 6, 2013, she was convicted of drug trafficking, delivery of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to deliver and felony bail jumping.

On April 17, 2013, while investigators were searching her apartment, Guyette was in the hospital, delivering a baby.

On June 7, 2013, Guyette was arrested after selling heroin to a police informant. When she was searched at the jail, deputies found 10 grams of heroin in a body cavity and two pills identified as ecstasy in her purse.

She faces up to 12 1/2 years in prison if convicted of delivery of cocaine.
