Q&A with Coach Kaitlyn Thompson

Number of years as head coach: This is my first year as the varsity coach, I have coached at the freshman and JV levels for the past three years.
Returning varsity athletes: Jessica Halvorson (12), Abbi Gillespie (11), Emma Blum (11), Megan Millard (12), Lauren Stroesenreuther (12), Mackenzie Fischer (12), Marissa Messina (11), Elise Sturgill (12).
Team goals/expectations: Our goals for the season are to put forth the maximum effort possible and have the best attitude. To work our best together as a team. The big goal is to play together as one team and not six people on the court.
Team’s strengths: Ability to play together, several returning varsity athletes, consistent skills across the board, great team chemistry and attitude.
What would make for a successful season: We will be successful if we work as a team, show growth in our overall skills as well as challenging every opponent in every way possible.
Why fans should be excited for this year’s team: High energy on and off the court.
