Schuelke, David (Dave) Eugene

David (Dave) Eugene Schuelke died peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones on September 13, 2018 in Appleton, Wisconsin at the age of 78.

Dave was born on August 25, 1940 in Manawa, Wisconsin, son of the late Arthur and Irene (Prill) Schuelke. He graduated from Little Wolf High School in 1958. Following High School he served his country in the U.S. Army and the reserves. Dave married Joan Hartfiel, in 1967. She preceded him in death in 1980. He then married Debra Hoger on November 6, 1982. He was involved on the family farm. Dave was a barber in Weyauwega with his father and brother and then became involved with Cedar Springs Golf Course in Manawa. He owned and operated the golf course until 1998 and went back to barbering until the present. Dave loved golfing and barbering, but especially loved spending time with his family.

Dave is survived by his wife, Debbie; five children, Greg (Jill), Tim, Lisa Larson, Susie (Greg) Rollings and Becky (Pat) St. Louis; 10 grandchildren, Ryan and Peyton, Owen, Isaiah Schuelke; Dustin Stueck; Kaden Larson; Mattea Rollings; Maverick, Madelyn and Maxton St. Louis; one step-granddaughter, Amanda Rill and one step-great-granddaughter, Ashland Suehs; one brother, Art (Carol) Schuelke; sisters-in-law, Betty Schuelke and Clarinda Schuelke. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife and mother of his oldest three children Joan and two brothers, Lowell and Hubert Schuelke.

The funeral service for Dave will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Nathan Reichle officiating. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery in Manawa. A visitation will be held at the church on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran School. The Cline Hanson Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa is serving the family.
