Visit graves to learn local history
The Waupaca Historical Society and Waupaca Area Genealogical Society will host a cemetery walk on Saturday, Oct. 20.
The walk through part of Waupaca’s Lakeside Cemetery will include one tour at 1 p.m. and another at 3 p.m.
The one-hour walk will take visitors back in time.
They will visit numerous graves along the way and learn about 15 different Waupaca families.
After the tour, visitors are encouraged to visit the Hutchinson House Museum in upper South Park for refreshments and a house tour.
Tickets for the walk are $5 per person and available at the Holly History and Genealogy Center, at 321 S. Main St.
Tickets will also be available on the day of the tour at Lakeside Cemetery.
All proceeds will benefit the Waupaca Historical Society and Waupaca Area Genealogical Society.
