Manawa man arrested, again

Officers say a man charged with a sixth OWI jumped bail.

Kelly J. Wollenberg, 56, Manawa, is charged with felony bail jumping.

He was previously charged with a sixth drunken driving offense and possession of marijuana.

Shortly after 11 p.m. on Sept. 26, Waupaca County Deputy Nate Nelson was patrolling County Yard Road in the town of Little Wolf when he observed a westbound vehicle directly in front of him drift into the eastbound lane.

According to the criminal complaint, the vehicle signaled a right turn where there was no road to the right, then deviated from its lane again, then turned onto Industrial Lane, where Nelson made a traffic stop.

Nelson described the driver, identified as Wollenberg, as having bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.

Due to five prior drunken driving convictions, Wollenberg is restricted to a .02 blood-alcohol level.

Wollenberg was released from custody after posting a $750 cash bond with the condition that he maintain absolute sobriety and comply with Soberlink, the jail’s alcohol monitoring program.

On Oct. 25, Soberlink reported that Wollenberg tested positive with a .057 BAC.

His original cash bond was amended to include both cases and he was released with the same conditions.
