Whole picture on pre-existing conditions

On June 21, 2017, Rep. Kevin Petersen authored and added Assembly substitute Amendment 1 to Assembly Bill 365 to cover pre-existing conditions.

He then voted “Aye” on adoption and final passage to insure all Wisconsin residents will have coverage for pre-existing conditions.

The substitute amendment states that pre-existing conditions must be covered by all insurance policies. It additionally directs the state commissioner of insurance to develop a plan to assist people who have pre-existing conditions in maintaining or purchasing coverage.

The commissioners plan must include expanded choices of insurance coverage, more affordable options to purchase coverage and greater flexibility in portability of coverage.

In contrast, liberals keep writing letters to the editor stating their belief that pre-existing conditions can only be covered by the current system of ObamaCare. Unfortunately, ObamaCare has caused thousands of individuals to lose their health plan and doctor along with skyrocketing premiums.

Thank you Rep. Petersen for voting to insure pre-existing conditions are covered in Wisconsin for everyone while additionally working to lower premiums and offer individuals more choices and flexibility in their health insurance coverage.

Now, as Paul Harvey would say, “That’s the rest of the story” That’s the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
