Dorothy “Dotti” Ruth Gilbertson, age 90, of Weyauwega, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Crossroads Care Center in Weyauwega.
She was born on January 10, 1928 in Weyauwega, daughter of the late Floyd and Clara (Mittelstaedt) Haire. Dorothy attended Weyauwega High School. She worked at the Charm Beauty Shop in Weyauwega for many years and also Conkey’s Book Store in Appleton. She married Alan Hecker and they had a son Gary Hecker. Following her divorce from Alan, she married Duane Gilbertson in July 6, 1963. Dorothy loved to golf, fish and garden.
She is survived by her son Gary (Sandy) Hecker; sister-in-law, Betty Haire; her other family members: Barb (Norm) Harris, Dave (Nancy) Gilbertson, Cindy Preuss, also other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, brother Kenny Haire, and two sisters, Verna Abraham and Vi Miller.
It was Dorothy’s wish to not have a service. Cline Hanson Dahlke Life Celebration Center of Weyauwega is serving the family.
