Plumb, Travis L.

Travis L. Plumb, age 39 of Clintonville tragically took his own life Friday, December 21, 2018 as the result of a hard fought battle with depression.

Travis was born on July 18, 1979 in Shawano as the son of Shelly (Tom) Schroepfer and Roy (Leane) Plumb. He was baptized at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville and graduated from Clintonville High School with the Class of 1998. Travis was employed for most of his life at Converting in Clintonville. He was an avid fisherman; especially when it came to musky fishing. If he wasn’t fishing in musky tournaments up north he could be found slinging huge baits on various lakes up north with his trusty dog Abby at his side. Travis adored his son August and was a good dad. He had a great sense of humor and a large memory bank of one liners. All in all, he just liked to make people laugh. His struggles are over, but his presence here will be deeply missed.

Survivors include: His parents: Roy (Leane) Plumb & Shelly (Tom) Schroepfer. Son: August Archer Breaker, Paternal Grandfather: Lyle Plumb. Sisters: Crystal (Cody) Pennau, Rachel (Jamie) McCoy, & Megan (Kurt Balke) Schroepfer. Brothers: Ty (Emily Norton) Plumb & Ryan (Tiffany Maddix) Anderson. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his dog Abby.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother; Gladys Plumb, his maternal grandparents; Beverly & Frank “Pete” Vandergate, a cousin; Keith Jorgenson, and an uncle; Rodney Vandergate.

Travis’ funeral service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 5 PM at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Brian Crocker officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 3 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by his family. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting his family. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
