Bessette, Patrice M. “Patti”

Patrice “Patti” M. Bessette, age 58 of the Town of Larrabee, returned to her heavenly home on Thursday, January 10, 2019 with her loving family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in “keeping the faith” supported her in her struggle with cancer and ultimately gave her peace.

Patrice “Patti” Maria Bessette was born January 11, 1960 to Kenneth Ranker and Iris Ranker (Thurner), Clintonville, Wisconsin. She graduated from Clintonville High School. She married her High School Sweetheart Doug on April 16, 1983 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. Patti and Doug welcomed three boys, Nathan, Ryan and Tyler. She was the proud grandma “Patti-Cake” to four grandchildren. Patti will always be admired for being a devoted wife, loving mother, nurturing grandmother and a faithful friend to her “Jack Daniel’s Ya-Ya Sisters” (Colleen, Sandy (George), Shelly, Connie). In her free time, Patti enjoyed spending time with family, playing pool and cribbage, going to concerts, visiting the casino and camping. She was an active member of St. Rose Catholic Church. Patti worked in banking activities and enjoyed her daily interactions with the patrons. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and perfectly placed veggies on a veggie pizza.

Patti is survived by her husband Doug, sons, Nathan (special friend Stephanie Riley), Ryan (Suzzie (Long), and Tyler; grandchildren, Hunter Bessette, Dezarae Bessette, Luella and Stetson Bessette; sister, Pam Basler (Ranker) and close aunt, Judy Jirikowic. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Iris Ranker, and grandparents, Max and Lila Thurner; uncle, Terry Thurner; along with father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Lois Bessette.
