Louise B. Stephani, 76, of New London passed away January 21, 2019 at Bethany Home in Waupaca after a long battle with heart disease.
She was born June 9, 1942 in Stephensville, WI to John W. and Alice (Beschta) Hoffman. Louise attended St. Edwards School in Mackville and later Hortonville Schools, graduating in 1960. She was a great typist who worked as a secretary at Western Condensing, several law firms and the former Appleton Coated Papers. She married Thomas Stephani at St. Edwards, Mackville on October 16, 1965. They celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in 2018. They resided in Black Creek for the next 25 years. In 1990, they built a home near Royalton which was carefully planned and decorated by Louise. She took great pride in her home. Louise loved her family very much. She was very proud of her grandson Blake. She was an avid reader and movie buff. The Hoffman family history was an ongoing search. Louise enjoyed collecting classic books, old movies, ceramic dolls and glassware. She enjoyed traveling with Tom to many states including Hawaii.
She is survived by her husband Tom, son Michael, his wife Annette and her grandson Blake Stephani. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Carol Hoffman, brother-in-law Fred Stoeger Sr., and numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her only sibling, Earl (Butch) Hoffman; her parents-in-law, Isadore and Hazel Stephani; sister-in-law Doris Stoeger and brother-in-law Bernard (Eva) Stephani.
The funeral service for Louise will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Borchardt Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville. Steve Grunwald will be officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather directly at the funeral home Thursday evening from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Hortonville.
