Rockets to play for title

The Neenah/Hortonville/Menasha boys’ hockey team defeated Waukesha North 7-3 in the state semifinals in Madison on Friday, March 1.

Rockets players Dillon Fox, Ethan Long and Eric Alberts each finished with three points. Fox and Long each had two goals with one assist, while Alberts added a goal and two assists.

NHM jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a pair of power play goals in the first period and added another early in the second period to give the Rockets a 3-0 advantage.

Each team finished with three goals in the second period, and the Rockets into the final period ahead 5-3.

The Rockets secured the victory with a pair of goals in the third period for the four-goal win.

Cody Dias and Luke Elkin each finished with one goal and one assist.

NHM goalkeeper Jake Mork allowed three goals with 13 saves in the victory.

The Rockets will play top-seeded University School of Milwaukee on Saturday, March 2 at approximately 2:30 p.m. in Madison.
