NHM Rockets fall short at state

Rockets lose 6-2 in title game

The Neenah/Hortonville/Menasha boys’ hockey team was defeated by University School of Milwaukee 6-2 in the state championship game on Saturday, March 2.

The Wildcats scored the game’s first four goals and held a 4-0 lead until the third period when Ethan Long scored an unassisted goal to put the Rockets on the board.

University School of Milwaukee added two more goals in the third period before Eric Alberts scored on a power play, assisted by Long to cut the deficit to 6-2.

Goalie Jake Mork finished with 38 saves.
