Stilp, Valerie “Val”

Valerie “Val” Stilp, age 33, of Clintonville passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at ThedaCare Medical Center – New London.

On the day of her passing, Val gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Dallas Robert Stilp, and he lived for just over 24 hours before joining her in heaven on Thursday, March 7th. The former Valerie Rose Schneider was born on May 3, 1985 at New London Hospital to Robert Schneider and Mary Malueg. She grew up in the Clintonville and Shiocton area, and graduated from Shiocton High School in 2003. After high school, Val dated Tom Immel for some time and they had a daughter together. In 2007 Val married Chris Klug at the courthouse in Waupaca. Val and Chris had three children and were later separated in 2013. She was united in marriage on March 25, 2016 to Benjamin J. Stilp Sr. in Neenah and the couple was blessed with three children. For a number of years Val delivered the Clintonville Shoppers’ Guide to Bear Creek/Clintonville routes. She also delivered the New London Buyers’ Guide to the Shiocton and Weyauwega area. Val was most proud of being a well-organized homemaker; raising her family and keeping her husband out of trouble. Her interests included completing jig saw puzzles, working in her vegetable garden, and keeping the house clean. Val loved spending time with her family and she was their solid rock.

Survivors include her husband, Ben; and six children: Alexis Immel, McKayla Klug, Adam Klug, Bryan Klug, Carl Stilp, and Henry Stilp. There are also seven stepchildren and one stepgrandson whom she loved as her own. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Malueg; her father, Robert (Wanda) Schneider; her mother-in-law, Marceeda “Marcie” Stilp; and two stepsisters, Amy Blohowiak and Kim (Rick) Jennerjohn. Val is further survived by aunts and uncles: Ronald Malueg, Donald (Sharon) Malueg, Patsy (Rande) Eggert, Gordon (Betsy) Schneider, Richard (Jennine) Schneider, and Bonnie Felts. Val is preceded in death by a stillborn baby, her father-in-law John Stilp Sr., and grandparents, Leslie and Margaret Malueg and Robert and Ruby Schneider.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, with Rev. Jill Meyer officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
