Daily, Gary Alan

Gary Alan Daily, of Manawa, took his first breath on March 7, 1948 and also drew his last breath that same day 71 years later, in his home looking out over Bear Lake.

Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was united in marriage to Susan J. Grabner on August 10, 1968, and they celebrated 50 years of marriage last summer. He worked at Kimberly Clark in Neenah as an electrician for almost 40 years. Gary loved playing guitar and singing in his band that he started in high school called The Faro’s. He especially enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends at his home. Gary was a man of many talents, with a great sense of humor who loved to have fun and make people laugh.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan; children: Jennifer Fox, and her son Joel Fox; Bryan (fiancé Mel Johnson) Daily; Craig (Rhonda) Daily, and their children, Olivia and Ella; his mother, Mildred Daily; siblings: Sherry, Tom (Julie), Kathy (Mike), Mary, Peg (Ray), Polly (Erik); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jean (Kim), Patty (Chuck), Judy (Brian), Kevin (Mischelle), cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by both his fathers: Thomas Daily and Lowell Kendley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Helen Grabner.

A Celebration of Life for Gary will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 1-5 p.m. at Bear Lake Resort in Manawa. Military Honors will be held there at 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The Cline Hanson Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa is serving the family.
