Suspect accused of rape

Teen says assaults occurred for three years

Dyllon R. Lazic, 19, Manawa, is charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child with the use of force, repeated sexual assault of the same child, child sexual exploitation, third-degree sexual assault, possession of child pornography, child enticement, exposing genitals to a child and exposing a child to harmful material.

On Feb. 18, Manawa Police Chief James Gorman received a call from the mother of a 16-year-old boy.

“She could barely speak,” Gorman reported, and she said her son had been raped.

Gorman met with the woman and her son, who said Lazic had been sexually assaulting him since he was in eighth grade.

The boy said the first assault began as a game of Truth of Dare in a shed behind a condemned trailer, then became violent rape, the complaint says.

The boy avoided Lazic for awhile, then they allegedly began having sex again about two years ago.

He described Lazic as “a very manipulative, pressuring and controlling individual,” and said Lazic shot him with a rubber band gun and a BB gun, and used him for target practice.

According to the criminal complaint, most of the assaults allegedly occurred at the Walnut Street Trailer Court where Lazic lives with his parents.

The boy said Lazic sometimes forced him to perform sex acts and other times offered him prescription drugs and marijuana in exchange for sex.

Lazic allegedly recorded some of the sexual activity on his cellphone.

Police seized Lazic’s phone and reported finding images of bestiality and child porn, including 24 photos of prepubescent children involved in sex acts.

Lazic faces up to 60 years in prison if convicted of first-degree sexual assault. He is currently in Waupaca County jail on a $10,000 cash bond.

“There is cause to believe there are additional victims, and the investigation is ongoing,” Chief Gorman said. “As the subject is still in custody, there is no immediate threat to the public.”

Gorman said that anyone with further information about incidents involving Lazic contact Officer Katie Boerst at 920-596-3390.
