Waupaca County sheriff’s report April 1

• March 31 – Caller from Pryse Drive, Waupaca, reported his 15-year-old brother was beating up his stepfather.

• March 31 – Caller from West High Street, Weyauwega, reported a 17-year-old male was out of control, choking his stepfather and screaming at other members of the family.

• March 31 – New London caller reported a man hanged himself.

• March 31 – New London caller reported a big, black dog was baying and barking nonstop for two days.

• March 31 – Caller from the 600 block of West Pine Street, New London, reported a dog had been barking nonstop all weekend.

• March 31 – Caller from Royalton Street, Waupaca, reported a 3-year-old girl had been riding her bike and could not remember how to get back to her grandmother’s house.

• March 31 – Waupaca caller reported his 13-year-old son told him his 12-year-old daughter was cutting herself. He was unable to go to the house and wanted a welfare check.

• March 31 – An alarm company reported an 86-year-old Waupaca woman had activated her medical alert, but the company was unable to make contact with her. They requested a welfare check.

• March 31 – Town of Dayton caller reported his girlfriend claimed he choked her and that was not true. He said they were arguing because he asked her to leave.

• March 30 – Caller at the corner of Simcox and Granite streets, Waupaca, reported hearing a woman scream and say, “Let me go.”

• March 30 – New London caller reported her son was driving down county Trunk W when he saw an elderly man with a walker yelling at people.

• March 30 – Fremont caller reported that a man against whom she had a restraining order had texted her daughter, saying she should “tell Mom” to come to his house or he would take matters into his own hands.

• March 29 – Fremont caller reported the building manager called him names and ordered him to vacate the premises.

• March 29 – ThedaCare New London requested a welfare check on an 82-year-old man who lives alone and does not know what day it is. He was refusing to go to the hospital to be evaluated, and staff were concerned about his safety.

• March 29 – Caller from the 400 block of North East Street, Weyauwega, reported another tenant was downstairs screaming and yelling about the caller’s TV.

• March 29 – Caller reported a possible juvenile party on Bird Dog Lane, Waupaca.

• March 28 – Caller reported someone was throwing multiple beer bottles almost daily into the ditch at Spring Creek Road and North Water Drive in Manawa. Now, there are two syringes in the ditch.

• March 28 – Waupaca caller reported her 11-year-old daughter was being harassed by schoolmates.

• March 28 – Caller from Guth Road, Weyauwega, reported she found her sister-in-law in her house when she came home.

• March 28 – Caller from Whispering Pines Road, Waupaca, reported a large black or gray truck pulled into the driveway with its lights pointed at the bedroom. A gray-haired man exited the truck, pounded on the front door, tried to gain entry through the side door and looked through the windows.

• March 27 – Kwik Trip, West Fulton Street, Waupaca, reported a woman was passed out on the bathroom floor. The officer could not get the woman to respond and asked for an ambulance.

• March 27 – New London caller reported a man with a 72-hour no-contact order sent a message to her boss, asking if she would be at work that morning.

• March 26 – Caller from the 500 block of North Franklin Street, Waupaca, reported a man was standing in the road, shooting an airsoft gun at houses, cars and squirrels.
