T-Birds stay perfect in CWC-East

After getting two games rained out earlier in the week, the Iola-Scandinavia softball team picked up a 9-2 win April 18 over Bonduel.
The Thunderbirds improved to 2-0 in Central Wisconsin Conference East Division play and 2-4 overall with the win.
The T-Birds scored three runs in the fifth and sixth innings to break open a 3-2 game while outhitting the Bears 12-2.
Winning pitcher Mackenzie Kielblock had three hits, including a double in the sixth inning. Taylor Kielblock,
Hannah Melum and Emily Wolfgram each had two hits and an RBI, while Lizzie Jones drove in two runs with a single in the fifth.
Kielblock held the Bears to two hits and struck out 12 batters.
The T-Birds and returned to division play April 23 with a rescheduled game at Weyauwega-Fremont High School.
