Driver charged with 5th OWI

Jeromy S. Van Dyke, 42, New London, is charged with a fifth drunken driving offense, possession of methamphetamine, obstructing an officer and misdemeanor bail jumping.

On Sunday, April 28, an officer stopped a vehicle in Weyauwega after seeing the driver “driving erratically and recklessly,” according to the criminal complaint.

The officer reported Van Dyke “smelled of alcohol and was uncooperative.”

Van Dyke has four prior drunken driving offenses between 1998 and 2015.

On March 19, Van Dyke was charged in Outagamie County with disorderly conduct as an act of domestic abuse and released after posting a $400 cash bond.

On March 25, he was charged in Outagamie county with misdemeanor bail jumping and released after posting a $300 cash bond.

On April 15, Van Dyke was charged in Outagamie County with misdemeanor bail jumping and released after posting a $400 cash bond.

All bonds included the conditions that he maintain absolute sobriety and not commit any crimes.

Van Dyke remains in Waupaca County jail on a $3,000 cash bond.
