Waupaca falls to Sauk Prairie, Sparta

Waupaca High School hosted an eight-team girls’ soccer tournament May 11.

Waupaca fell in its two games at the Waupaca Invitational, 12-0 to Sauk Prairie and 6-0 to Sparta.

Teams from Kingsford and Marquette, Michigan, also competed at the tournament, as well as Marinette, Menasha and Northland Pines.

The Comets returned to North Eastern Conference play May 14 at home against Marinette and will head to Denmark Thursday, May 16, for a 4:30 p.m. North Eastern matchup with the Vikings.

Waupaca will also travel to Hortonville Monday, May 20, for a 7 p.m. game.
