Amherst soccer held scoreless against Assumption

Amherst soccer was shutout 5-0 against Assumption on the road on Thursday, May 1.

Assumption took the early lead as Isabelle Ferreira scored at the 5:24 mark in the game with a goal from the right side of the net to make the score 1-0.

Addi Vollert made the score 2-0 with a goal at 14:35 that snuck its way past the Amherst goalkeeper.

In the second half, with 43:38 on the clock, Vollert scored her second goal as she scored a ball off the fingertips of the Amherst goalkeeper to make the score 3-0.

Assumption went up 4-0 as Dolan scored to extend the lead at 53:13.
Sarah Shaw scored the final goal of the game to give her team the 5-0 at the 55-minute mark.
