Mary Margaret (Bouvat) Apps, age 90, of Wild Rose, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Monday, December 2, 2024.

She was born April 1, 1934 in Elcho, WI; daughter of Ben and Margaret (Pflanzer) Bouvat. On June 26, 1954, she married Edward Apps Jr. in Wautoma, WI. They resided in Wild Rose where they owned a family farm. In 1979, they started a flower shop / greenhouse. In 1980, they built a ballpark next to the flower shop, which was eventually converted into a bar in 1984 called “Mr. Ed’s Place”. Mary bartended there until her passing. She loved tending bar and being with her customers who became family to her. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

Mary is survived by two sons David (Andrea) Apps of Wild Rose and Daniel (Roberta) Apps of Wild Rose; one daughter Darlene Apps of Wild Rose; three step-daughters Susan (Clyde) Wendlandt of Wild Rose, Linda Rosales of Appleton, and Arlene Apps of Wild Rose; eighteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Apps Jr.; her parents Ben and Margaret Bouvat; three sisters Jeanne, Elaine, and Betty; a step-son Robert Apps; and a step-daughter Sandy Clements.

Per Mary’s request no formal services will be held. A celebration of her life will be held on a future date. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose is assisting the family with arrangements.
