Jean E. Cargile, age 81 of Waupaca, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Bethany Home in Waupaca.
Jean was born on November 19, 1942; daughter of the late Elsie and Laura Parks in Eureka, Kansas. On November 22, 1960, Jean joined the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged on April 30, 1963. She then lived in Forsyth, Missouri working as a regional manager for Royal Neighbors of America and was also an independent real estate agent. In 2016, Jean moved to Waupaca, Wisconsin. She was a member of the American Legion Post #161 in King, WI.
Jean is survived by her son, Jay Cargile of Waupaca, WI; Long time best friend, Nancy Neuroth and daughter Dawn of Waupaca, WI; daughter-in-law, Debbie Cargile of Garden City, KS. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willis “Toby” Cargile; son, Mike Cargile and sister, Alice.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Waupaca Christian Church in Waupaca. Pastor Carl Ferguson will officiate. Military Honors will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Waupaca Humane Society in Jean’s name. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
