Waupaca County Sheriff Tim Wilz announced the advancement of six deputies.
“Each and every applicant showed a tremendous amount of skill and experience that would be valuable to this agency,” Wilz said. “I am very privileged to have had the opportunity to interview all of those who applied.”
Detective Sgt. Carl Artz was promoted from detective captain. Artz has been with the detective division for 21 years.
Deputy Nick Traeger was promoted to detective sergeant. Traeger has been working with Waupaca County for 10 years as a patrol deputy and K9 handler.
Deputy Pete Kraeger has been promoted to detective sergeant after serving Waupaca County for four years as patrol deputy.
Deputy Adam Labrosse has been employed with the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office for six months as transport/patrol deputy, but also worked as a reserve deputy since 2016,. He has now been promoted to patrol deputy.
Corrections Deputy Joe Kriegel has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 2003 and has been promoted to transport/patrol deputy.
Corrections Deputy Adam Lange has also been promoted to transport/patrol deputy. Lange has worked in Corrections since 2014, and also as a reserve deputy starting in 2010.
“I have full confidence that these deputies will serve the citizens of Waupaca County with integrity, professionalism, and honesty throughout their entire career,” Wilz said.
