Gone fishing, found dead

STEVENS POINT — On April 28 at 3:46 p.m., the Portage County Communications Center received a report of a missing person. The person was believed to have gone fishing near West River Drive and County Trunk HH in the township of Linwood.
Portage County Sherriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area and after an extensive search they located the missing person who was deceased.
The name and age of the deceased person has not been released. The circumstances surrounding this person’s death is under investigation by the Portage County Sheriff’s Office and Portage County Medical Examiner’s Office. Foul play is not suspected at this time.
