Indian Crossing Casino turns 100

Posted

WAUPACA – The Waupaca Historical Society and Indian Crossing Casino will present a special program, “100 Years of Indian Crossing Casino,” on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m. at the Indian Crossing Casino.
The program, presented by Breanna Yeska of ICC, will explore the history of the Casino, which opened in 1925 and quickly became a popular venue for dances, concerts, and community gatherings. Over the past century, the Casino has played an important role in the cultural and social life of Waupaca and the Chain O’ Lakes area.
Breanna Yeska is the events manager and works in marketing at the Indian Crossing Casino, where she has been part of the team since new ownership took over in late 2023. Prior to her job at the ICC, she worked in education as a teacher and spent her last 11 summers in the service industry.
In addition to the historical program, the evening will feature food for purchase and 1920s-themed drink specials, giving attendees an opportunity to enjoy refreshments reminiscent of the era in which the Casino first opened.
The program is free and open to the public. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, contact the Waupaca Historical Society at (715) 256-9980 or visit waupacahistoricalsociety.org.
