WAUPACA – Nicholas Patrick Siverling, 41, was arrested for repeated sexual assault of a child, child enticement and causing child under 13 to view/listen to sexual activity.
According to the criminal complaint, on Aug. 30, Officer Colbert of the Waupaca Police Department was notified of a sexual assault involving a minor. He met with the victim, her mother and her stepfather. The mother told him she was sexually assaulted by her friend’s father.
The mother said that Siverling had been forcing the victim to engage in sexual acts for the past four years, starting when she was 10 years old. The assaults happened at Siverling’s Berlin Street home. The victim said she was assaulted more than 100 times since the first assault. No other individuals were involved.
Detective Sergeant Rodenz took on the case and worked with a CPS investigator and a forensic interviewer to speak with the victim. The victim said the first assault occurred before her 11th birthday and she got a urinary tract infection. Siverling told her not to tell anyone. The assaults sometimes occurred when Siverling’s wife and children were home and they would go to the basement to a woodworking area where Siverling had condoms stashed in a drawer. He closed the basement door for secrecy.
The victim said sometimes Siverling choked her to keep her from whimpering and this left red marks on her neck so she wore turtlenecks to cover the bruise. Another time she blacked out from the strangulation and when she woke up she had blurry vision as Siverling continued the assault.
Siverling made her take a morning-after pill, including taking her to Walgreens once to buy one.
He repeating warned her not to tell anyone as he said he could get arrested and the victim deleted text messages with incriminating information and images and videos with explicit material of Siverling, Siverling’s wife and herself. He told her he wanted her friends to join their sexual encounters.
On September 5, Detective Sgt. Rodenz met Siverling outside his residence and he denied all allegations.
