Pacelli softball dominates Rosholt

Pacelli ran away with the game against Rosholt on the road as the mercy rule came into play in the third inning on April 29.

Ava Tess drove in the first run for Pacelli as she had a single that turned into a Rosholt error that got her to second base and made it 1-0. Ellen Van Order drove in the second run of the inning as she reached third on a base hit that became another Rosholt error to give Pacelli the 2-0 lead.

Jaedyn Zdroik drove in a run with a double to give Pacelli the 3-0 lead, and Madelyn Poinek drove in Zdroik with a double to give Pacelli a 4-0 lead. Kaylin Yenter drove in the two runs with a double to make the lead 6-0.

Amelia Martini hit an RBI triple to give Pacelli the 7-0 lead in the second inning. Kaydyn Nelson drove in Martini with the next at-bat as she hit a double to push the score to 8-0.

Peyton Mancl drove in a ninth run with a single RBI. Van Order hit a grounder up the middle and turned it into an RBI double as she made the score 10-0. A sacrifice fly to score pushed the lead to 11-0 and finished the explosion of runs in the second inning.

Pacelli kept their foot on the gas as they scored six more runs and finished off Rosholt in the third inning.
