Posted

WAUPACA - On the second day of summer, Strawberry Fest returns to downtown Waupaca on Saturday, June 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Visitors can browse up to 150 arts, crafts, and vendor booths while enjoying the delicious offerings of the Strawberry Lane food court. There will be fresh strawberries and strawberry shortcake available for sale. The historic bandstand on city square will feature open mic performances in connection with the Arts Hub. The farmers market will also be open, offering seasonal produce and locally made goods.
Children will find plenty to enjoy with free kiddie carnival rides, bounce houses, and balloon creations by Dizzy D. Balloon Twister.
Special attractions include the Model Railroad Swap Meet at the Waupaca Recreation Center and tours of the Historic Depot and Hutchinson House museums.
To make getting around the area even more enjoyable, guests can hop aboard the free Berry Trolleys. The Berry Country Trolley loops through Turner’s Fresh Market, Indian Crossing Casino, 81 Market, Clear Water Harbor, and King Berry, returning to the festival. The Berry Town Trolley stops at the railroad swap meet, historic depot, North Main Street shopping district and South Park’s Hutchinson House.

This year’s Strawberry Fest is made possible thanks to generous support from local businesses and organizations. Sponsors include 81 Market, Clear Water Harbor, Community First Credit Union, Community Insurance, Faith Community Church, Farmers State Bank, Faulks Bros. Construction, First State Bank, Indian Crossing Casino, King Berry, Koinonia Makers Market, L & L Propane, Neuville Motors, Inc., The Family Radio, Torborg’s Lumber, Trinity Lutheran Church, Turner’s Fresh Market, Victory Church, Waupaca County Dairy Promotions, and Waupaca Foundry. Good time for a good cause
The Waupaca Chamber of Commerce can use some help at Strawberry Fest. Volunteers have the opportunity to choose a non-profit organization that their volunteer work hours will go towards. In appreciation of the volunteer’s time and effort, a donation will be made to a chosen organization on the volunteer’s behalf. To get involved contact Kathy at kathy@waupacaareachamber.com.
