Two local standout athletes receive awards for their excellence in the classroom.
The Wisconsin Football Foundation announced the Scholar-Athlete recipients. The state’s chapter of the National Football Foundation, recognizes the best of the best when it comes to outstanding students and outstanding football players.
Stevens Point Panthers quarterback Grant Chandonais was a recipient of the accolade.
All selections will receive a scholarship from the Wisconsin Football Foundation and be recognized at an awards banquet on April 27th.
Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association announced the 2025 Girls Basketball Elite Academic All-State Awards to the individuals that attain a high level of success in the classroom.
Weyauwega-Fremont’s leading scorer, Olivia Witkowski received the honor for the Warhawks.
Minimum requirements for nomination included seniors with a GPA of at least 3.5 and an ACT score of at least 25.
