Wing, Neva

Neva May Wing, age 97 of New London, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Appleton Retirement Community.  Neva was born on July 7, 1927 in New London to Leonard and Marguerite (Remmel) Kuppernus.  On May 1, 1948 she married her high school sweetheart, Lee Wing at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London.  They were blessed with two wonderful sons, Greg and Terry.  Neva was baptized, confirmed and was a life-long member at Emanuel Lutheran Church.  She loved to watch Lee, a very talented left handed pitcher and their sons at their sporting events.  She also loved to play cards, especially cribbage, everyday with Lee until his death.

Neva is survived by her sons, Greg (Pam) and Terry (Julie); five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is further survived by one niece and four nephews.

Neva was preceded in death by her husband, Lee; her parents; her father and mother-in-law, Alfred and Alice Wing; sister, Jeanne (Cliff) Gerndt; brother, Jerry (Joanne) Kuppernus and nephew, Tim Kuppernus.

The Christian Funeral Service for Neva will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. The visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, New London
