• Nov. 21 – Officers were dispatched to Stevens Point Area Senior High School to assists a social worker in placing a juvenile in secure detention. The call resulted in one juvenile being transported to Portage County Juvenile Detention Center.
• Nov. 21 – A woman hit a man on a bike near Water Street. The man on the bike asked her not to contact the police and claimed he was okay before leaving the scene. The vehicle sustained damage to the front bumper and hood.
• Nov. 21 – Officers responded to Washington Avenue for complaints of a vehicle trying to strike a pedestrian.
• Nov. 21 – A woman wanted officers to reprimand her five-year-old granddaughter for stealing an item from Five Below. At the time of contact, the item had been returned. An officer noted they observed the child frightened and crying.
• Nov. 21 – A man was concerned about his friend who had last saw four days prior in Marshfield, who left with an alleged drug dealer.
• Nov. 21 – A juvenile male was hit by a drunk driver on Fourth Avenue.
• Nov. 22 – Officers were dispatched to Clark Street for a possible break in. The caller stated they heard glass breaking. Upon arrival, officers located a broken window but the house was cleared.
• Nov. 22 – Officers responded to Briggs Street for a fraud complaint. A woman showed her life insurance policy to an alleged door to door salesman.
• Nov. 22 – Retail theft was reported at Kwik Trip on Stanley Street.
• Nov. 22 – A man reported getting complaints from his apartment manager regarding his CBD use.
• Nov. 23 – A man was cited for drug possession on Division Street and College Avenue.
• Nov. 23 – A caller reported they had lost approximately $32,000 to fraudulent activity.
• Nov. 23 – A man on Riverview Avenue stated he was 30 days sober and was on his way to purchase alcohol to relapse. He then became angry at himself and threw his bike to the ground. He said that he overcame the temptation and did not need law enforcement assistance.
• Nov. 23 – A woman stated she believed she locked her car before getting groceries at Metro Market on Pinecrest Avenue. The woman stated when she went back to her car after shopping she found someone else’s groceries in her car. There was no damage to her vehicle. The groceries were brought into the store but an owner was unable to be found.
• Nov. 24 – A woman claimed to receive a threatening e-mail, in which she referenced Mayor Mike Wiza.
• Nov. 24 – A property crime at Acme Auto LLC on Church Street allegedly included an individual shooting their vehicles with a paintball gun.
• Nov. 24 – The principal of the Charles Fernandez Center at Point of Discovery School reported observing a student walking away from the school building and holding a vaping device.
• Nov. 24 – A retail theft occurred at Kwik Trip on Church Street. According to dispatch, a six-foot-tall black male in his twenties, wearing a black hoodie, stole a burger.
• Nov. 24 – A bike was reported stolen from a Fourth Avenue residence.
• Nov. 24 – A juvenile fled on foot during a meeting with his justice worker. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate him.
• Nov. 24 – A vehicle was observed in the parking lot of a business past closed hours that remained there for a long period of time. An officer made contact and found a couple to be having a serious talk about their relationship.
• Nov. 25 – A woman admitted to urinating and defecating in public near the Opera House on Main Street.
• Nov. 25 – Officers were dispatched to Aspirus Plover Clinic’s Emergency Room for a report of a female who stated she wanted to kill herself and had established a plan. The female left prior to law enforcement arrival, though she was eventually located.
