Timothy W. Benson, 23, Waupaca, was charged with felony delivery of heroin and felony delivery of cocaine.

On Dec. 4, 2012, an informant told a state investigator that Benson was a user of heroin, cocaine, prescription drugs and marijuana. He said Benson paid for his drug habit by selling heroin and marijuana.

The informant told the state agent that his most recent purchase had been for $400 of heroin from Benson.

On Jan. 4, the informant told investigators that Benson was on his way into Waupaca with more than an ounce of heroin and that he had negotiated a deal to purchase one gram for $390 from Benson.

According to the criminal complaint, the informant met Benson at a friend’s apartment and purchased 10 bindles.

On Jan. 23, the informant allegedly purchased one-eighth of an ounce of cocaine from Benson while wearing a police wire.

Officers from both the Waupaca County sheriff’s Department and the Waupaca PooiceDepartment assisted the state on the investigation.
