Spudder Mini Open in Waupaca

The Spudder Mini Open will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, and will include family friendly activities.

Activities include a nine-hole mini golf event, a children’s ‘Tater Tot’ games area, a potato-themed recipe book giveaway, and Polka music by “The Old Time Sounds” in the historic bandstand.

Waupaca’s history and how it relates to potatoes will also be featured.

The “19th Hole” eateries will feature potato menu specials from T-Dubs, Simpson’s, Little Fat Gretchen’s, Paca Pub & Grill, Weasels and Speakeasy.
The evening event will also include a cold beverage station and snacks in the Spudder Mini Golf area. All these will be stationed in the block of Main Street between Fulton and Union streets and the City Square.

Starting at the beginning of the week youngsters can start their scavenger hunt for puzzle pieces, and adults can start collecting recipes at participating businesses, with a first stop at the Waupaca Area Chamber office, 221 S Main St., for the puzzle board and recipe book binder. Then look for “Mr. Spudder” in participating business windows.
