Firemen’s Festival in Clintonville

Event includes parade, concert, kiddie water fights

The 37th annual Firemen’s Festival will be held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 12-13. The event is hosted by the Clintonville Firemen’s Association.

The festival will kick off with the 4th annual Firefighters Fish Fry on Friday, Aug. 12 at 5 p.m. TAXI will perform at the festival, starting at 8 p.m. The band provides a wide variety of live music.

The live music is free all weekend. As always, refreshments will be available all weekend.

The highlight of the weekend will kick off Saturday, Aug. 13 at 11 a.m. with a huge parade down Main Street. The parade is not detoured this year.

Marty’s Goldenaires Senior Drum and Bugle Core will showcase their talents during the parade.

Parade attendees are invited to Olen Park afterward for live music and children’s games. Marty’s Goldenaires Senior Drum and Bugle Core will also perform in the park.

Food will be available, catered by Mathews Supper Club of Clintonville.

Kids can enjoy many activities, including bounce houses, Bean Bag Toss Tournament, kiddie water fights, and the mountain of gold. Lawn tractor pulls will also take place.

Saturday night will feature Clintonville local band, Wasted Stay. The music starts at 8 p.m. and will be played through midnight.

Funds raised at the festival have contributed to more than $75,000 in donations to the Clintonville Fire Department.
