Bound to Happen Books celebrates 5th anniversary

STEVENS POINT — Bound to Happen Books is getting ready to celebrate five years of business.
The independent book store located in downtown Stevens Point began as a shared space with Process General Store. Originally only three bookshelves, the store has now expanded into two levels of over 17,500 books, 10 booksellers, and book related goodies.
To celebrate their fifth anniversary, the book store is hosting a block party on Aug. 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. The block party will include authors from across Wisconsin, local vendors, and live musicians.
Owner, Lyn Ciurro, said, “Sometimes it feels like we’ve been here forever, other times it feels like we just opened last week. The support we’ve received from the Central Wisconsin community has been an immense honor, and we hope to continue to meet the strong expectations we’ve set. The future isn’t always very clear, especially in the big 2026, but if the next five years are anything like the last then I can’t be anything but grateful.”
