Manawa gets second win of the season

MANAWA - The Manawa Wolves delivered a dominant offensive display on Sept.25 securing a 36-8 victory over the Crandon Cardinals.

With the win, Manawa secured their second win of the 2026 season and improved to 2-4.

Quarterback Carson Stroud was the focal point of Manawa’s offense, completing 21 of 34 passes for 332 yards and four touchdowns.

Carter Barrington led all receivers with seven receptions for 140 yards, while Reed Schlueter hauled in five catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Porter Gehrke added two touchdown receptions on four catches for 29 yards.

Wyatt Drath led the Wolves’ rushing attack with 15 carries for 64 yards and a touchdown, while also converting a two-point attempt. Barrington added two two-point conversions to round out the scoring.

Gehrke anchored the defense with a team-high 15 total tackles, followed closely by Drath (14 tackles), Corbin Spaulding (11 tackles, one tackle for loss), and Schlueter (10 tackles, one TFL and one interception).

Manawa will aim to build on this performance as they continue through their schedule.
