Janan M. Vinger, age 70, of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Cherry Meadows in Appleton. She was born on April 21, 1956 in Prarie du Chien, WI, the daughter of the late James and Joyce (Helvig) Bergum.
On August 15, 1980, Janan married David Vinger in Sparta, Wisconsin. Janan worked as a CNA for the VA Medical Center in Tomah, and after moving to Weyauwega, Janan continued her CNA work with Alpha Home Health and also worked part time at Silverfield Cheese Factory in Fremont.
Janan loved horses and horseback riding. She also enjoyed making goats milk and glycerin soaps which she loved to share with her family and friends.
Janan is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dave; her daughter, Lyssa Joyce Vinger; a step son Eric; and three grandchildren, Torre(Corbin)Clark, Delaney(Ben)Thomas and Kolby; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Per Janan's wishes no services will be held. The Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont is assisting the family with arrangements.
