Vanished without a trace

Marion man still missing after two years

Posted

MARION – In October of last year, the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office shared a Facebook post noting the one-year mark of Jason Bell’s mysterious disappearance.

“Despite countless hours of investigation, follow-up on leads, and collaboration with other agencies, all available leads have been exhausted at this time,” the sheriff’s office stated in the social media post.

This October, they posted nothing. The case is cold and Bell remains missing.

Jason Bell was last seen on October 8, 2024 between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at his home on Stony Hill Road in Marion. Two days later, his cell phone pinged in an area away from his home. His family members officially reported him as a missing person on Oct. 22 after being unable to reach him.

Although he was an experienced truck driver for the logging industry, Bell did not have a vehicle at the time he vanished and did not have other means of travel. He was 48 years old.

The sheriff’s office reported Bell had family and friends in Fox Lake and near Henderson, Nevada. Investigators have found no clues or leads to his whereabouts or what could have possibly happened to him.

Bell is described as a white male weighing in at 215 pounds on a 5’9” frame. He has gray hair cut short and has a graying beard and mustache. He has hazel eyes and has multiple tattoos on the back of his neck, upper back, and arms and forearms.

Anyone with information about the case should contact the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office at 715-526-3111.
