• July 20 – Probation & Parole in Oshkosh requested help to find a man with a record of a second-degree sexual assault of a child. The man recently had contact with a child he was not allowed to be near.
• July 20 – A couple stopped in the sheriff’s office lobby claiming they were hacked. “It started showing up in her husband’s Google account and created drama.”
• July 20 – A man reported fishing off a dock and he cast his line by another dock. The neighbors came over and swore and yelled at the fisherman and his family.
• July 20 – A caller requested a deputy to come with her to visit a home where methamphetamine was being made.
• July 20 – A caller reported a man working as an unlicensed contractor was committing fraud.
• July 20 – A caller reported a man arrived at his home driving a Ford F150. He said he drove from Pennsylvania to meet the caller’s 20-year-old special needs son after they met on the internet.
• July 21 – A caller reported his glass on his side door was shattered by a gunshot. There normally wasn’t any shooting in the area so he thought it might be intentional.
• July 21 – A caller requested a welfare check on a man that was hearing voices. The voices said they are coming to kill him.
• July 21 – A man reported some illegal dumping that had been going on for a long time.
• July 21 – A meal-delivery driver reported an elderly couple did not answer when she arrived and she requested a welfare check on them.
• July 21 – A woman reported a man said was going to kill himself and was driving over 100 mph in his Pontiac.
• July 21 – A woman reported her Chevy Silverado was “ransacked” during the night before.
• July 22 – A caller requested a welfare check on a person lying on their back in a parking lot next to a Jeep with an open door.
• July 22 – A caller reported a man came to her house claiming to be from Alliant Energy and was inspecting gas meters. He had no credentials. He wore a hardhat, a high-visibility green vest and was in his 50s.
• July 22 – A caller reported a woman was asking for more beers and intended to take her clothes off.
• July 22 – Ramada Grand Seasons in Waupaca reported a woman was outside screaming and crying.
• July 23 – A man reported another man was getting harassed by “anybody and everyone” that he is gay when he is not.
• July 23 – A Clintonville police reported an officer was in pursuit of a stolen out-of-state semi.
• July 23 – A caller reported three Amish children were driving a cart with small pony in the road.
• July 23 – Portage County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance for a situation about a woman with a knife to her throat.
• July 23 – A man reported two males were attempting to break into a boathouse on the river.
• July 24 – A woman reported another woman was screaming “at the top of her lungs” and moving around garbage cans.
• July 24 – Crystal River B&B reported a man trespassed onto their property and slept on their couch. They spoke to him and said he cannot do that. He said he had no place to go and then said, “No English.”
• July 24 – A man reported a juvenile was peeping in his car.
• July 24 –A man reported he has three vehicles broken into. Items stolen were: three cell chargers, an MP3 player, a carpenter’s hammer, a backpack and $155 in cash.
• July 24 – A caller wanted to speak to an officer about being scammed out of $800. It was related to a room at Gen Con, a gaming convention in Indianapolis.
• July 24 – A caller reported an intoxicated man sleeping in his truck.
• July 25 – A man reported a family at a campground were walking back to their camping spots and were assaulted by three or four people.
• July 25 –A caller reported two boats, one with an e-foil and another with a wakeboard, were causing unsafe conditions.
• July 25 –A 911 caller reported an intoxicating man was threatening suicide and kept picking up a firearm. He was also trying to take away a baby from a woman.
• July 25 – A woman reported her neighbors by the river were setting off dynamite all day and it was shaking her house.
• July 26 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile runaway.
• July 26 –A woman reported that a man wearing Spiderman gloves was refusing to leave the Bridge Bar and was getting physical.
• July 26 – A man reported he has bruises and injuries on his face. They were from his ex-girlfriend.
• July 26 – A man reported a trailer came off a truck and rolled onto his property damaging the mailbox and lawn.
• July 26 – A woman reported a man was in front of her house dancing with a knife and he entered her home.
• July 26 – A caller reported pulling into a campground to turn around and there was a woman wearing a ball cap and holding a shotgun.
• There were 11 deer-related calls during this period. Nine controlled burns were called in. The water patrol stopped nine boats. A caller reported being charged on a regular basis by a brown Labrador retriever when bicycling past a residence. A person driving a Dodge Avenger reported hitting a dog. A caller reported a black Labrador retriever was in the Crystal River and now wandering around in the roadway heading for State Highway 22. A caller reported a fox with severe mange was wandering in the road and should be put down because the animal was suffering. There were two complaints of dogs that bark all day. Two cows were reported loose near the road and a loose horse was reported by another call. There were three separate reports of two men and one woman being bitten by dogs.
